Joanna Wiebe

AMA

Creator at Copy Hackers

Victoria, BC, Canada

Professional Bio

The original conversion copywriter, Joanna is the creator of Copy Hackers. She helps startups use their words so people fall in love with them, flood them in cash, tell all their friends about them and name their firstborn after them. ("Buffer Anastasia McGillicuddy. That's got a nice ring to it.") She's been invited to speak at loads of conferences, and that fills her heart with such joy that she must brag about them here, given that bragging is the natural outcome of being joyful, at least in post-industrial America, where she does not live:

  • Mozcon
  • Inbound
  • HeroConf
  • SearchLove
  • CTA Conf
  • ConversionXL Live
  • OptiCon
  • Business of Software
  • Microconf
  • Bacon Biz Conf
  • Conversion Jam
  • Conversion Hotel
  • Wooconf

She's helped businesses like Invision, Shopify, Crazy Egg, Rainmaker / Copyblogger, BT, AVG and Tesco optimize their copy. And she works with research partners - like Buffer, Wistia and MadMimi - to test wild 'n' crazy (!!) ideas so she can tell you all about 'em.

Because she loves 1) writing and 2) building things, she's currently building a writing platform (for teams) called Airstory
