During the webinar on 1/21 on how marketers are using Twitter, Rick Burnes shared that the growth and traffic on Twitter has slowed, but the data didn't include other tools? Does this mean if someone uses TweetDeck, Seesmic or FaceBook to post tweets these numbers aren't included? If that's the case, perhaps the usage is actually much higher and the traffic hasn't slowed?

The other thing is what do you mean by "growth" and "traffic" when referring to Twitter? Growth to me would mean number of accounts added or cancelled. Traffic would have more to do with usage - tweets, retweets, mentions, etc. Please clarify. Thanks, Greg

Tweetdeck, Seesmic and other apps are accessing Twitter through the API. What Rick was saying is that the data from Compete.com and Quantcast don't reflect the actual usage.
