Thanks for the great webinar on FB Mktg today. I have a question about converting FB users into purchasers of a product. More specifically, are there proven effective ways to get fans from your FB page to your site in order to buy your product. I often use the following analogy: a group of people who have the love of running in common and are out on a run together. While running, they're talking about how much they love running, the pros and cons of different types of running shoes, the best sweat resistent running apparel, and the like. Suddenly, one of the runners stops dead in their tracks and suggests that they all stop running and go into a sporting goods store they just passed to buy some new running shoes. While they are all clearly interesed in running shoes and would be interested in buying new running shoes at some point, they re not likely to want to do it right then and there.
Hence, my challenge -- how do I get fans that are on my page and actively engaged in the content to click on a link that will take them to my site where they can buy a product that is very relevant to them (but they just might not want to do it right then given they're in the 'FB/social media mindset')??
Thanks in advance --
