    Super useful post. I noticed a bunch of spam traffic on a brand-new website. I expect it on larger sites, but it's incredibly annoying when 50% of pageviews on a new project are dodgy bots.

    Great post @ryanwashere. I've always regarded "direct" traffic as mystery traffic — nice to have, but hard to clearly evaluate and grow, so I focus on the rest.
