I'll especially miss my good friend [exact match].
That setting made me look like a boss in front of potential clients dozens of times:
Them: "We're targeting the keyword: round green lampshades because it gets 5,000 searches per month"
Me: "Sounds good. One quick thing: did you choose exact match when you did your keyword research"
Them: **Frantic clicking** "Actually, we didn't. "Looks like it only gets 4 searches per month. Thanks for the heads up. We almost spend $XX,XXX targeting the wrong keyword."
Me: "No problem. There are a few keywords I'd recommend for you..."
As Google says: "With Keyword Tool, we showed you broad match statistics by default with the ability to get data for other match types, like phrase and exact match. But with Keyword Planner, you'll get historical statistics only for exact match."
Cristian, if you read his entire comment I don't think he was suggesting that Exact match will be gone.More so that he can't show off to clients that he knows what he's doing by selecting it.
What Glen said: exact match is now the default/only setting. Not a huge deal, but the exact match setting was one piece of knowledge that helped me close clients.
Alas, we knew it well...

The data's different. You might want to rerun some of your keywords with the new tool. I suspect the new one's "updated" and the old tool was going to be sunsetted so they didn't bother. Either that, or I'm just getting more traffic on targeted landing pages with less not provided obfuscation.

They're probably pulling the data from Google Keyword Planner (most keyword tools integrated their software with Keyword Planner in preperation for the change).
I don't hate it as much as I did when it first came out. majestic and term explorer are definitely prettier and geared toward SEO's, while the keyword planner is much more geared towards Adwords customers.

I logged in and used it for about 2 minutes. It seems a little more complicated than I anticipated. More steps and things to click. I guess we'll all have to learn it and get used to it, unless we opt for the other tools out there.
Spent some time pre-change trying to understand the processes and functions of the Planner tool - didn't get on with it then and I don't seem to be able to get on with it now. Well, a lot abusive words will now be thrown at my screen and Google.
