I am totally not a hater but...This really doesn't address decreasing marginal returns when trying to scale search as a channel. Let's say you've got a great quality score and your account is chugging along at an awesome CPA. The next steep would be to take advantage of some of the slightly less profitable keywords, usually meaning lower quality score.
I like to use SKAGs (single keyword adgroups) to deal with this decreasing quality when going for scale...thoughts?
Definitely didn't address it but I think that scaling PPC might best be saved for a specific article. For me, the real value in the article was the visual data of QS's impact on CPC. Pretty cool stuff. Would love to see your point touched on. Interesting take on a nice problem to have.
I have observed that if you have a high quality score account, you can have relatively low CTR keywords with high QS. i will write about this.
