I'm anxious to see what they can come up with in their "mildly insane" sprint to create an RSS reader, heh. If they can make it fast, light, and interoperable it might give them the boost they've been looking for to get the "new" Digg some more traction.
That said; does anyone else feel like it's extremely hard for a brand like Digg to resurrect its' image after so much history? I have a very hard time separating modern Digg from original Digg in my mental model of online communities.
How is this news at all? First they said they will build it. Now they say they are serious about it. Next week they will be dead serious?
I think next week they get up the courage to come out to their parents about it.
