@mc_cooney, sorry I missed your comment. It's great to see feedback from someone with first-hand experience.
Our platform is different from Elance and Odesk. Having account managers, that help match copywriters and develop those relationships, makes us sort of a dating/matching service for clients and copywriters. A nice addition is that all projects are reviewed by our staff editors, so there's at least two pairs of eyes looking after the quality.
Michael, which of the mentioned features you, as a prospect, would want to see on our landing page?
@oompt, thank you for taking the time to review the page.
The messaging is outdated indeed, Copyscape is not our core feature :) We are putting together an a/b test with new copy for the same layout, so your recommendations are just in time and extremely valuable.
@JoelKlettke thanks for the mention, I did miss it.
@JoelKlettke, thank you for taking your time to review our page. Your insights are invaluable, as always. There's a lot here to digest and experiment on.
@adamwebanalyst, thank you. Spot on, testing the background image (with this layout variation) is on top of our list. Also, well done on dissecting our cost/time proposition. I think you are right – the cost section is too opaque, and we mention nothing about completion time at that stage.
– Spot on, we haven't tested the background image (as a single variable) yet. Added to my list, will share the results afterwards. – Noted. We tested several variations and saw no significant improvements. – Can you please elaborate on 'Get Started'? How do you see this?
We initially started with the Order widget at the top of the page. We then gradually got down to the current best-performing version with the Order widget at the bottom. However, I do agree with your recommendation – we will a/b test the positioning again, as a number of other factors have changed since the first test.
Can you please elaborate on changing 'Select your format' in the Order widget? I didn't quite get it.
Also, we do optimize pages for each product type, e.g. blog post writers, article writers, press release writers. Even though the content changes only slightly (3-4 keyword matches on a page), looks like it's sufficient for Google.
