I'm using the King Sumo app to automates the giveaway. I haven't had anywhere near the success Josh Earl had with the app but I guess books just aren't as cool as they used to be. Spreading the word through social- paid and organic.
@SujanDeswal hey I always appreciate when people advocate for integrity-based marketing as opposed to high-pressure manipulation and empty promises. It's a good reminder to use our powers for good and not evil!
Great post @SujanDeswal...eliciting an emotional response by pulling the right triggers is appropriate when the end result is people getting the help they need (i.e. their problem gets solved).
What's the #1, overall take-away from the mobile update? Is it really as simple as plugging your URL into the Google tool and getting a green light? Is that it or is there more too it?
What if there were checkboxes at the top of the feed that allowed users to be able to customize their feed? That way users who like Inbound as it is, can have the same experience, while users who only want news (or, whatever) can check a few boxes and have their preference saved?
If you do the research (e.g. look at the link profile, check CF & TF, etc) for each domain name your purchase, and set up each domain with a different whois profile, privacy protection, different host, different IP, etc., different plugins, themes, for each site you build...(i.e. do it the smart way) then yeah it works if you know what you're doing. That's the key.
Building a PBN isn't illegal, but if you do it without knowing exactly what you're doing, Google might give you the beat-down.
This is a very quick read but a good one. When a brand can formulate it's story and bring customers into it, they'll build a following and audience quickly. Too many brands are still focusing on spitting out cliches when they should be focusing on weaving their customers into their brand story.
I think storytelling when done well is just as effective in B2C as it is in B2B. Every person has a story. When you can create "me too" moments with the reader and weave your brand story into their self-narrative, you win. Like Charlie Sheen win. I actually (not trying to be self-promotional here) just wrote a blog about it that might help you think through story, here.

@NChimonas Agreed.
