What's your best piece of writing or copy advice for self-professed "non-writers"?

What do you think is the difference between "content" and "copy"? Is there one?

Headlines: GO. But wait. I suppose that's not really a question. Oh, well. I just want to hear your advice on them.

@MaelRoth For most of these, yes -- I totally agree with you.

But I have heard versions of the "quantity not quality" point (#5), although not quite as stated here. Often content is considered "good enough," when really a little extra care, attention, love and editing (!) might make it truly "good"!

Does "good" really matter? I believe yes. But you probably knew I would say that... LOL.

I have nothing to add here aside from adding that Doug's comment thread with himself pretty much makes this content an epic read.
