Difference between content Marketing and Inbound Marketing
As an Hubspot academy student I learned that the main difference between Content
Marketing and Inbound Marketing is that CM is a technique while IM is a methodology that
comprehend several techniques between them, content marketing. After reading some
literature and articles about the topic my opinion is that CM and IM have got similar goals
but Inbound Marketing:
- has an holistic approach toward the customer
- has got well defined and a standardised procedures
- is focused on the concept of S-Marketing alignment so that the sales
team can received just qualified leads
Content Marketing:
- content driven
- more attention about content alignment
Indeed, my (professional) opinion is that they are both part of the digital media trend
that is happening right now. But if IM was the bread and CM the butter, now Inbound
Marketing is becoming both the bread and the butter.
