Reading though Ed's slides it occurred to me that the one thing I'd like to see change on Inbound next year is more people voting up and discovering new things via the Incoming tab. 

It's a shame that almost everything that hits the Homepage is usually from established sites or has a "sexy" headline and it worries me that the area of discovery that a site like Inbound can bring is sometimes being missed in a rush to vote up cool sounding sites or vote for our friends. 

I'm guilty of it too. I'm sad to say I've voted up sites I've not read because the title sounded cool or it was from a site I love. Can anyone else say they haven't done the same in this community or on a social network?

But I also see amazing posts in Incoming all the time that are from different sites. I give them a 2nd vote and then that's it. They're clearly amazing posts that the community would love but for some reason they just aren't getting found, or aren't attracting the votes. 

So all I ask is go check out the Incoming tab for an hour and go on a journey of discovery. If we can recapture that in 2013 then we'll truly make Inbound special.
