What do you think of q&a's compared to competitions in terms of engagement and value for the brand?
It really depends on how you are asking people to enter the competition. Follow & RT competitions certainly have their place but there's such a large 'comping' community (people who just use Twitter to enter competitions), that the vast majority of followers you attract don't actually have a genuine interest in the brand. Although it's a bigger ask, getting people to engage directly is far more valuable and creates a lasting memory with those who participate. It really helps build brand advocacy. Running a Q&A works both ways too, for example brands can use them to research into what their followers think about a new product/services.
